Letting Go

Happy New Year to everyone! I hope you had a great holiday.
There was a question from one of my advanced students during the class discussion in November and I made a note of it to share it with our readers. It is about “if someone wants to go, don’t try to make them stay”. I was trying to teach my advanced students from my life experiences that if you ever have someone in your life as a friend or someone who works with you or for you, either now or in future, if they make a decision to leave you, bless them and let them go. Do not be upset or worried about them leaving you.
Consider them leaving as a blessing for you and them. If someone is not happy about where they are, I strongly believe they must leave. Their stay is not a benefit for themselves or others. When they leave, do not panic and do not worry. Your future is not tied to anyone who leaves.
You can never keep anyone and ask them to stay if their heart is not with what you believe or what you are doing. When people want to walk away from you, let them go. Be strong, bless them, wish them well, say goodbye. Never beg anyone to stay because you need them, no matter who they are and what their capabilities are. Know with your whole heart that someone better will replace that person.
Life is full of surprises and it has its difficulties and tests. When a challenge comes towards you and you are in trouble. That is a test and an obstacle to help you to become a better person. Look at those challenges to help you build a better character for yourself.
Never be afraid in any situation. There are always benefits and blessings in any difficult situation. With a great attitude, you can overcome any challenge and turn it into a blessing.
